Installing Over the Air directly to your phone.

If you want to install the REDFLY drivers via your computer using ActiveSync, point your computer's browser to http://www.celiocorp.com/install.

Attention! For proper functionality, the software on the phone and the firmware in the device must match. After installing the REDFLY driver on your smartphone, please make sure you have the current version of the REDFLY firmware installed on the REDFLY device. See the instructions below to update the firmware on your REDFLY.

Updating Your REDFLY's Firmware

Confirm Firmware Version
An enhanced version of the REDFLY firmware is now available. Current users of the REDFLY need to install this updated firmware on the device (unless your REDFLY firmware is version 1.4.0.61 or later) to enjoy these improvements.

To check which version of firmware you have on your REDFLY:

  1. Power on your REDFLY.
  2. Press the FN Function key and the REDFLY key at the same time. The About REDFLY screen appears.
  3. Look at the FW Version field. If this Version field shows a calendar date or a number prior to 1.4.0.61, you must upgrade your REDFLY's firmware.

Update REDFLY Firmware
Updating your REDFLY is similar to installing software on your phone. However, if you are not comfortable with this procedure after reviewing these steps and would like assistance in performing this update, or if you encounter any difficulties during the update process, please call us at 1-888-4REDFLY.

You will need these to do the update:

Note: Please ensure your REDFLY device is plugged into its power adapter before beginning the update. If your REDFLY battery dies during the firmware update process, the device may not function properly.

Perform the following steps on your phone:

  1. After reading these steps, download the latest REDFLY firmware .CAB from the link below.
  2. Accept the End User License Agreement: enter your email address, check "I agree", and click "continue".
  3. Uncheck the box marked Open File After Download.
  4. Choose Save As and select a convenient folder to save this file to on your phone.
  5. Choose Save.
  6. Plug in your REDFLY AC adapter into an outlet and into your REDFLY.
  7. Power on your REDFLY. Do NOT have your phone and your REDFLY connected right now. If it is, the firmware setup program will ask you to disconnect the REDFLY first before continuing.
  8. Run the REDFLY Firmware CAB file on your phone.
  9. The setup program will now ask you to connect your REDFLY to your phone. Connect it to your phone using your phone's USB connecting cable.
  10. Select OK on your phone to continue the firmware installation.
  11. Select OK when the firmware installation completes.
  12. Your REDFLY will reset and automatically connect to your phone over USB.

Note: You can run the firmware updater from the same phone for multiple REDFLYs. You'll want to run the firmware update against all REDFLY devices you have.
