Pairing the REDFLY with these exciting new phones will further extend the great benefits they already provide, giving you an instant on, USB-connected or Bluetooth-enabled large wireless keyboard and even more screen real estate. Once you install the driver and upgrade the firmware on the REDFLY, simply connect the two together and you are ready to unleash the power of your new smartphone anytime, anywhere.

It is important to note that this version of the REDFLY driver is an early release for these phones and there are a number of known issues:

HTC Models
  1. 1. These phones ship with the Opera 9.5 beta release of the browser. REDFLY does not currently support this version and attempting to connect to the Internet while connected to a REDFLY will display a "black screen" in most cases.
  2. 2. This release does not support the HTC TouchFLO interface at this time. If this setting is enabled in the phone, REDFLY attempts to turn it off programmatically when you connect with the REDFLY, and then turn it back on when you disconnect. Note that you may manually enable TouchFLO after disconnecting in the "Today" configuration screen if it does not automatically get turned back on.
  3. 3. There have been isolated reports of problems with Bluetooth connectivity, where the connection is dropped after a short time. We would appreciate feedback if you encounter this situation.(Note: This issue should be mostly resolved with build 67.)
  4. 4. The dialpad display on incoming phone calls does not render properly the first time it is loaded, and on subsequent uses has some visual anomalies. (Note: This was resolved with build 64.)
  5. 5. Frequently, the display does not rotate into landscape mode after disconnecting from the REDFLY.

Sony XPERIA
  1. 1. Panels Choice menu doesn't work when connected to REDFLY -Panels themselves scale and work, but the Choose Panel window doesn't.
  2. 2. Phone Dialer window is cut off such that you can't see the number you are dialing.

As always, we appreciate your interest in the REDFLY and welcome your feedback. Please email us at Support@celiocorp.com with your questions and comments. We hope to provide updated builds every other week until the point we are ready to provide the "gold" version of the drivers for these phones. The current version is 1.4.0.72 on 12/19/08.
